Description | Folios 426-427. Letter from John Sagar, [Workhouse Master of the Keighley Workhouse], to the Poor Law Board, acknowledging receipt of their letter of 17 July, [25431/1854] stating that according to a report from T Micklethwaite [Thomas Micklethwaite], District Auditor [for Yorkshire West Riding] he has not been keeping a clothing register book. He states that he has always kept this book and the auditor has always examined and initialled it. Sagar therefore believes that the auditor made a mistake. He states that Mr Spencer, [George Spencer], Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union can corroborate this. Paper Number: 27607/1854. Poor Law Union Number 571.
