Description | Folios 497-498. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Thomas Micklethwaite, District Auditor, enclosing a draft copy of a letter they have sent to George Spencer, Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union. This states that they have no objections to the appointments of the following medical officers of the union until 25 Mach 1856: Robert Allan Macnab, Medical Officer for the Sutton District. Amos Ingham, Medical Officer for the Haworth District. William Wilkinson Mitchell, Medical Officer for the North Keighley District. John Dickson, Medical Officer for the Bingley District and the Bingley Workhouse. John Milligan as Medical Officer for the South Keighley District and the Keighley Workhouse. The Board also approve the salaries also mentioned. The guardians should enter into written medical contracts with the medical officers and copies of the contracts for vaccination should be sent to the Board for approval. Paper Number: 36242/1854.
