Description | Folio 635. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to George Spencer, Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union, referring to the proposals by Messrs Bailey either to let to the guardians 15 acres of allotment land to break up or to hire any persons directed to them by the guardians and to pay them for their labour. As a general rule guardians can hire land to use for employment. The Board wishes to know the conditions of hire of the land in question. Paper Number: 7071/1855. Poor Law Union Number 571.
