Description | Folio 690. Draft printed letter from the Poor Law Board to George Spencer, Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union. They transmit the form of an order [not included] they propose to issue for the purpose of authorising the guardians to hire for the term of 10 years, several arcres of land on Harden Common for the employment of paupers, and request a short description of the land be inserted in the margin of the order. The signatures of a majority of the guardians need to be attached to th form of consent. Annotated: Mr Farnall, [H B Farnall, Poor Law Inspector], has anything further happened in this matter?
