Description | Folios 31-32. Request from the Poor Law Commission for annual return to show persons helped to emigrate. Returns attached: list and description of the persons desirous of emigrating from Stockland. John Venn and Elizabeth Venn, and their children William Venn, Thomas Venn, James Venn, Mary Venn, Sarah Venn, Ann Venn and Hannah Venn. Family from Stockland, who emigrated to Canada in May 1844. Father, mother and children, marked `safe landed'. Also Jane Jeffrey and John Jeffrey, Thomas Jeffrey, Elizabeth Jeffrey and Matilda Jeffrey of Hawkchurch; widowed mother and four children to Quebec, on the Ottawa, April 1844.
