Description | Folio 97. Letter from Charles Bond, Clerk to the Guardians Of the Axminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission regarding salary of schoolmistress. The guardians seek approval for raising the salary from £15 to £20 a year in view of the large number of children under her care, and the great attention she pays them. Annotated as approved.
