Description | Folio 163. Draft letter from Poor Law Commission to Charles Bond, Clerk to the Guardians of the Axminster Poor Law Union. Acknowledges letter dated 18 April 1846 regarding the complaint of Mr Jolliffe, Medical Officer of the Axminster Poor Law Union. Poor Law Commission have instructed Mr Graves, [John Thomas Graves] Assistant Poor Law Commissioner, to enquiry into this matter as per the Commission of Guardians request. Mr Graves is unable to attend on 1 May 1846. He will attend on Friday 15 May 1846 and request that witnesses be summoned to give evidence that day. Paper Number: 4633/A/1846.
