Description | Folio 167. Draft letter from Poor Law Commission to J Jolliffe, Medical Officer of the Axminster Poor Law Union. Acknowledges Jolliffe's letter of 30 April 1846 and state there is no objection to the presence of a legal advisor at the enquiry regarding Jolliffe's complaint on the understanding that he take no part in proceedings. The Assistant Poor Law Commissioner will question witnesses and be in total control of proceedings. 6290B/1846. Poor Law Union Number 76. Counties: Devon and Dorset. |
