Description | Folios 382-383. Letter from J Fowler, farmer of Fursley Farm, Axminster, Devon, to the Poor Law Commission asking for payment of his expenses as a witness in the case of George Clark's late wife of the parish of Chardstock, before Mr Graves, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner last May. He claims that he was summoned to attend and the other witnesses have all been paid. He had taken two days away from his business. Annotated: request to see the summons. Paper Number: 10033/A/1846.
