Description | Folio 389. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to John Jolliffe, District Medical Officer, referring to his letter of 24 August 1846 on the subject of the enquiry conducted by Mr Graves, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner. They state they have no power to order the guardians to erase the vote of censure. Also, they consider the proper object of the investigation was Jolliffe's conduct. They enclose a post office order [not included] for £1 1s for the cost of the depositions and request an acknowledgement. Paper Number: 10072/A/1846. Poor Law Union Number 76.
