Description | Folios 408-409. Letter from R Bonfield, Overseer at Chardstock, to the Poor Law Commission in response to their letter of 17 September 1846 requesting his summons. He does not have it as Mr Jolliffe had asked if he would attend the enquiry and he agreed. Annotated: no grounds for imputation of fraud, but much irregularity in the summoning of Fowler [James Fowler], but sanction payment. Paper Number: 11504/A/1846. Poor Law Union Number 76. Counties: Devon and Dorset. |
