Description | Folios 427-428. Letter from Charles Bond, Clerk to the Guardians of the Axminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding an item disallowed in the audit of the parochial accounts on 28 May 1845 by Mr Tucker. This was for printing costs and an explanation given as to the late payment. A Vestry meeting was held and a resolution passed to set the particulars before the commissioners and ask consent to pay the overseer of Chardstock the amount out of the poor rates. Post script: Bond had written a similar letter on 20 October but had no reply. Annotated: no such letter seen. Notes for reply. Paper Number: 12725/A/1846. Poor Law Union Number 76.
