Description | Folios 233-234. Letter from W and E Willoby [William Willoby and Edward Willoby], Clerks to the Guardians of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board regarding the appointment of John Mannners as medical officer of the Tweedmouth District, and Alexander Kirkwood's objection to this. The guardians claim that Alexander Kirkwood is under the misapprehension that the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, where he resides, is part of the district for which the medical officer is appointed. This is not the case and the appointment should therefore stand. Annotated: copy of letter to be sent to Alexander Kirkwood. Poor Law Union Number 325. Counties: Town and County of Berwick-upon-Tweed and Northumberland. |
