Letter from Mr Hawley, Inspector of Workhouses, to the Poor Law Board with reference to the plans for the alterations at the Berwick-upon-Tweed workhouse, recommending obscured glass for the men's sleeping rooms, and out-door privies in the girl's yard as recommended by the Poor Law Board and described in [8679/1849] for the proposed new workhouse in the Easington Union [County Durham].
