Description | Folio 19. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to R F Wright, District Auditor, Clutton Poor Law Union, Bath, enclosing a copy of a letter from Mr H Plumber [H T Blinman] seeking additional information concerning the disallowance of expenses so that the commissioners may reply to Plumber [not included]. Also a draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Mr H Plumber [H Blinman] of Hallatrow in High Littleton, in reply to his letter of 14 January concerning disallowances on expenses for a task undertaken in the absence of the overseer. The Commissioners note that the auditor had only sanctioned the part of the expenses that would have been paid if the task had been undertaken by the overseer, and as such they had no capacity to interfere in his decision.
