Description | Folio 259. Draft Letter from the Poor Law Commission to William York, Old Down, Compton Martin, acknowledging his letter of 23 November 1839. They state that they have authorised the guardians of Clutton Poor Law Union to have maps and valuation made of West Harptree and only by being employed by them can he be remunerated for such services. They advise him to communicate with the Clutton board of guardians on this subject. Paper Number: 8829/B/1839. Poor Law Union Number 325.
