Description | Folio 331. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to J Rees Mogg [John Rees Mogg] and W Rees Mogg [William Rees Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians of the Clutton Poor Law Union, stating that they are unable to issue an order for sale produce as requested. After careful search of their records they can find no application made to them to sanction the loan for the Stanton Drew produce. The money has been applied without the sanction required by a legal order and will require some explanation. Paper Number: 1978/B/1840. Poor Law Union Number 325. Counties: Town and County of Berwick-upon-Tweed and Northumberland. |
