Description | Folio 9. Draft letter from Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, to Samuel King Clerk, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. All applications for loans must originally be made for 10 years but this can later be extended to 20 years. If this loan should be made by Royal Exchange Assurance, it will be necessary to wait until the next session of Parliament before the period for repayment can be extended due to technicalities in the law. Paper Number: 256/A/1837. Poor Law Union Number 302. Counties: Norfolk. |
