Description | Folios 65-66. Letter from Samuel King, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the East Dereham Workhouse and estate. The above building is falling into disrepair, and as it is unoccupied the guardians of the union request the Poor Law Commission for an order to sell it as soon as possible as formerly requested. Annotated: Mr Parker. Urgent. Counsel's advice is the sale would not be safe. Paper Number: 1635/A/1837. Poor Law Union Number 302. Counties: Norfolk. |
