Description | Folios 99-100. From Messrs Wallis and [Jump], Litcham, Swaffham, Norfolk, Medical Officers of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. Letter dated 17 March 1836 asking if medical officers are appointed annually by the guardians and do they have the power to alter salaries? At present they practise in the Mitford and Launditch Hundred but as they do not yet hold any public appointment, please would the Commission acquaint them with the facts. Annotated: no change for this union this year, but appointment is annual and salary liable to change. Paper Number: 2377/A/1837. Poor Law Union Number 302. Counties: Norfolk. |
