Description | Folio 168. Letter from Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission to Samuel King, Clerk to the Guardians of Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. The Commission in directing an order adjusting the compensation for the addition of parishes to the Mitford and Launditch Union, discover that the board of guardians have applied for a £4,000 loan for the cost of alterations and additions to Gressenhall Workhouse.
