Description | Folio 371. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to The Reverend Henry Edward Knatchbull, Vicar of North Elmham, acknowledging his letter of 9 October and saying that they had initiated an enquiry to be made into the conduct of the relieving officer of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union and that as they understand that the enquiry had taken place in his presence they feel it unnecessary to transmit any account of the proceedings or of their result.
