Description | Folio 59. Note from Poor Law Commission to William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, requesting a full and detailed account of the meeting of the board of guardians to include the Resolutions passed and the salaries of the paid Officers. Enclosure form from the Poor Law Commission to Ashton, acknowledging his letter of the 7 June 1836, which gave the following appointments: Mr Riley, Auditor; William Ashton, Clerk; Mr and Mrs Hayward, Governor and Matron; Mr Morley, Surgeon to the workhouse; Mr Smith, Relieving Officer, First District; Mr [Levers] [Leivers],Relieving Officer, Second District; Mr Winfield, Relieving Officer, Third District. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
