Description Folio 265. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission [to William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union]. They acknowledge receipt of his letter of 16 May 1837, and confirm that Mr Wolley may be appointed Governor of Basford Poor Law Union Workhouse and Mrs Wolley may be appointed Matron of Basford Poor Law Union Workhouse They ask Ashton to write to inform them what salary will be paid.
