Description	Folios 8-10. Circular letter from Harry White, Clerk, Halesworth, to the Bramfield churchwardens and overseers, regarding the Weekly Committee who met at the poor house directing White to send the accompanying 'Answers to Queries' numbered 1,2,5,6,7 and 8 extracted from the 'List of Queries' from the Poor Law Commission. The answers had been approved by the Committee, so to enable the list to be filled in a vestry meeting was called and if approved they would copy the answers onto the list sent by the Commissioners and return promptly. Answers to numbers 5 and 8 are below: 5. The alms house in the parish contained rooms for eight widows despite the donor intending it to accommodate only 4 widows. As the house had 8 rooms and was now inhabited by 8 widows the trustees gave their consent. 8. According to the enclosed return from the poor house nearly 12 persons belonging to the parish had been maintained there for the year ending Lady Day 1834, at an cost of £88 13s 1d very nearly 3s per head. It is unknown what items are charged in the cost of the establishment so it has not been included in the average. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk.
