Description | Folios 180-181. Letter from John Meadows White, 1 Fredericks Place, Old Jewry [London], to T Frankland Lewis [Thomas Frankland Lewis, Poor Law Commissioner], about the transfer of property from dissolved unions to new unions. It is important to ascertain on what terms the dissolution and alterations have been made under the provisions of clause 32. The mode of adjusting the terms of the legal transfer of property is particularly important in the case of unions established by special act of Parliament, as Blything Union. It also applies to most of the unions in Norfolk and Suffolk. As the new Blything Union does not take place until 11 July 1835, it is important that all the main arrangements should 'at once' be on a safe footing. Any rules or terms for the change can be brought without delay before [Mr Carter]. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk. |
