Letter from R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, stating that it has not been the custom of the guardians to depute a portion of their board as a distinct and separate committee for transacting the general business of the Board, other than the committees annually appointed to visit workhouses, and that the board meetings have never been held less frequently than once a week.
