Description | Folio 58. Draft letter from Poor Law Commission to R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, relating to Jane Powell, a pauper widow belonging to the parish of Ruanlanyhane [Ruanlanihorne] but now residing with her father in the parish of Creed in the St Austell Poor Law Union. If she has not resided for 5 years in the parish of Creed and is within Exception 2 of Article 3 of the General Prohibition Order, the Guardians can give her non-resident relief. If she is not within that exception, the Guardians may report to the Commission for consent to the allowance of non-resident relief under Article 6 of the Order. Paper Number: 10264/A/1847.
