Description | Folio 211. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, referring to the report from the Commissioners in Lunacy [Dr Turner and Mr Mylore] following their visit to workhouses in the Truro union on 1 October 1847. The board calls the guardians' attention to entries made in the visitors' books relative to the cases of certain lunatic pauper inmates and requests their observations. The board thinks that the lunatics referred to should, if practicable, be removed to a lunatic asylum. Paper Number: 5177/1848. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall. |
