Description | Folio 471. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, acknowledging his letter of 4 May 1849, returning the appointment forms for John Paddon and Thomas Truran as Medical Officers of East Kenwyn and the St Clement Districts. They ask for the names of the medical officers of each of the three Truro workhouses. They point out that a workhouse medical officer must receive a separate salary to that which he may receive as medical officer to a district. Paper Number: 13938/1849. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall. |
