Description Folio 110. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to John D Taylor [John Dobede Taylor], Clerk to the Guardians of the Bishops Stortford Poor Law Union. They enclose a letter from Mr Tarrant, porter at the workhouse, asking what control the master of the house has over the porter's day book [not included]. The guardians' attention is drawn to article 214 of the regulations which require a porter to keep a day book. They are asked to report back to the Board on why the porter has sought this information. Paper Number: 37365/1850. Poor Law Union Number 167. Counties: Hertfordshire and Essex.
