Description | Folios 195-196. Draft letter from W G Lumley [William Golden Lumley], Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Board, to the churchwardens and overseers of Bishop's Stortford, enclosing a Form of Return for persons who have emigrated, during 1850, to be completed and returned to the Poor Law Board. Samuel Emson, Assistant Overseer, states a return was forwarded, on 13 January 1851, to the Poor Law Board by [John D Taylor], Clerk to the Guardians of the Bishop's Stortford Poor Law Union.
