| Description | Folio 468. Letter from John D Taylor [John Dobede Taylor], Clerk to the Guardians of the Bishops Stortford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board. He reports that the guardians have appointed Miss Annie Spencer, late Schoolmistress at Mrs Hulton's school, Islington Hall, near Lynn, to be schoolmistress of the Bishops Stortford workhouse school, at a salary of £20 per annum, plus board, washing and apartment.
