| Description | Folio 478. Draft letter from Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Board, to Charles Norris, Assistant Overseer of Sawbridgeworth in the Bishops Stortford Poor Law Union. Chadwick states that he is enclosing a copy of the General Order for Accounts (not included) and asks Norris to confirm that in collecting the poor's rates for the parish of Sawbridgeworth he is complying with the regulations of the Order, specifically the regulations in Articles 5 to 10 of the Order.
