Description | Folios 497-498. Letter from Charles Norris, Assistant Overseer for Sawbridgeworth in the Bishops Stortford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board. Norris states that he is enclosing a copy of his appointment letter as Assistant Overseer. Also a justices' warrant from C S Bourchier and Frederick Vander Meulen, Justices of the Peace, confirming the appointment of Charles Norris as Assistant Overseer for Sawbridgeworth on 25 March 1845. The letter states that Norris should perform all the duties of an assistant overseer except for the collection of rates. Paper Number: 29326/1852. Poor Law Union Number 167.
