Description | Folio 114. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding additions to workhouse; fever wards. The order dated 5 October 1842 authorised an outlay not exceeding £700. The first estimated cost was £560. The actual cost is £676 19s 2d. He now seeks to know if an additional order needs to be raised by the Commissioners and how the money should be raised. His preferred method is to borrow it from the treasurer and repay it by one, two or three yearly instalments with interest. Paper Number: 13381/B/1843. Poor Law Union Number 530.
