Description | Folios 137-138. Letter from W Crowther, Overseer, to the Poor Law Commission regarding the guardian for Stone. There has been no guardian for Stone since last Michaelmas. He applied but was told by the clerk [Henry Saunders] that he was too late. He complains that he was not properly apprised of the arrangements for appointing a new guardian. Annotated: acknowledge, promise consultation, copy clerk asking for observations. 23 March 1844. Paper Number: 3912/B/1844. Poor Law Union Number 530.
