Description | Folio 201. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to W Crowther [William Crowther], Overseer of Stone, Kidderminster, stating that an overseer can, in cases of sudden and urgent necessity, give relief in articles but not money whether the applicant is settled in the parish in which he shall applies for relief or not. As relief was given in money, there can be no reimbursement. Paper Number: 8633/B/1844. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. |
