Description | Folios 367-368. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. Information is requested as to whether it is the Commission's intention to add to the duties of collector those of assistant overseer, this being the object of the guardians. It is noted that there is no mention of this question in the letter or its enclosure as to the office of assistant overseer. Annotated: the guardians cannot add the duties of assistant overseer. He will be appointed collector. The same person can be appointed assistant overseer. Also annotated on a separate note: write accordingly. Paper Number: 2972/B/1846.
