Description | Folio 381. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding election of guardians. 'I presume a rate payer in A duly qualified to vote there cannot nominate a Guardian for B. in which he the rate payer is not qualified to vote - Is a nomination in the following form now admissible?' There follows a draft form of two columns with headings, 'Name of the person or persons proposed as Guardian or Guardians' and 'Residence and quality or calling of the person or persons proposed'. The person entered is Joseph Left, New Farm, Farmer. The form concludes, 'I nominate the above to the Guardian for the said Parish for the year ending the 25th March 1847. Signed - John Left. Place of abode - Rushock Court'. He requests an early reply. Paper Number: 4582/B/1846. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. |
