Description | Folios 400-402. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the appointment of a collector of the poor rates for Bewdley. He encloses the required form. The form shows Henry Knowles, age 36, from Bewdley, to be paid at a poundage of 4d in the pound for sums of more than £3 and 6d up to sums of £3. Security is provided by William Nicholls, Kidderminster and Richard Knowles, Dowles. There has been no collector for several years. Annotated: refer to Mr Gulson [Edward Gulson, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]. Sanction. Sanction Paper Number: 5303/B/1846. Poor Law Union Number 530.
