Description Folio 435. Letter from J T Whitgrove of Cradley Heath, near Stourbridge, to the Poor Law Commission. He states that his daughter Elisabeth Male called on the board of guardians, Kidderminster, saying that they [Elizabeth and George Male] could not support us [John Whitgrove and Sarah Whitgrove] without assistance. The answer was they could do no more than they already had. [He goes on to say [illegible] 'deepest mine in England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales I should not be out of your union which is the one I have applied to knowing all others are [illegible] and subject to yours'.
