Description | Folio 438. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, regarding a collector for Dowles [Shropshire]. They request to know the amount of rates collected annually and whether there is an assistant overseer appointed. They refer to an order of 6 December 1836 and enquire why the appointment could not be made under it and further ask if the appointment is necessary in so small a parish. Paper Number: 8640/B/1846. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. |
