Description | Folio 490. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the appointment of an assistant overseer for the Borough of Kidderminster. Robert Lawley Hooman currently a Collector of poor rates in the Borough of Kidderminster was appointed by a vestry meeting to be an overseer in addition to his current role at a salary of £50 per annum exclusive of out of pocket expenses. He asks whether 7& 8 Vic c 101 s 61 has reference to 59 Geo c 12 [59 Geo c 12 s 7] necessitates him providing additional security. Annotated: although he should provide security for his role as assistant overseer, as he has already provided security it seems unnecessary.
