Description Folios 522-523. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Rev Thomas Powell, Chaplain to the Kidderminster Poor Law Union. They acknowledge receipt of his letter of 23 November 1846 and state they will reply when they have heard from the guardians on the case of inmate Taylor [Ann Tyler]. They reply to his question on payment for teaching inmate children to sing psalms; stating that if the guardians and Commissioners agree, a payment could be legally made from the poor rates for that purpose.
