Description | Folios 545-546. Letter from Thomas Simkiss, Wolverhampton, Auditor, Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. He acknowledges receipt of their letter of 9 December 1846 together with copy letter from Thomas Farrington. He states that he disallowed the sum as it had no reference to business done during their year in office. Annotated: 'This case has unfortunately been covered by some papers, the master of the workhouse should be called upon to explain this matter,' W G L [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission] 31 January 1847.
