| Description | Folios 251-252. Letter from Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, stating that at their weekly meeting held on 6 March 1837 the board sanctioned the sending of Mary Laws and her family to America by the Kelsale parish officers and that Emigration Forms A, B, C and D had been completed and sent to the Poor Law Commission. A description of the family is enclosed. Kelsale: Mary Laws, aged 36, years. William Laws, aged 12, years. Mary Ann Laws, aged 8, years. John Laws, aged 5, years. Isaac Laws, aged 4, years. Charlotte Laws, aged 3, years. Alfred Laws, aged 22, weeks. Annotated: Dr Kay [James Phillips Kay, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner] begs to recommend approval. [Consider removing family].
