Description | Folio 345. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, stating that the putative father should pay as long as the bastard child continues to be chargeable to the parish. Before they give sanction they wish to know the circumstances which justify the relief to the child for the period contemplated in the resolution and whether his mother is living and, if so, in what condition.
