Description | Folios 346-347. Headed 'Enclosure 1'. Resolution passed by the Blything Poor Law Union; that application be made to the Poor Law Commission allowing the rates to be collected upon the former assessment excluding the cottages of paupers, and request the Commission to issue an order to the auditor empowering him to pass the overseers accounts until an order has been made for a new assessment. Annotated: the Commission have no authority to exempt the churchwardens and overseers from duties regarding assessments. Annotated: answer as suggested. Paper Number: 3917/A/1837. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk. |
