Description | Folio 206. Form relating to a resolution for borrowing money for emigration, at a meeting held by the rate payers and owners of property in Huntingfield, 5 June 1836, John Man chairman. Overseers were directed, and it was resolved, to borrow £48 to be repaid by equal instalments of £24 with interest not exceeding £5 per cent per annum. Names listed include: Henry Ashcroft, Minister; S C Goodwyn, Churchwarden; William Potter, Overseer; G Taylor, Overseer and William Barrett, Vestry Clerk, Witness. Annotations: The emigration has already taken place so the Commission is unable to issue any order. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk. |
